Nelda Evarts spent her childhood dancing about the living room to her father’s record collection, and credits her singing to repeated efforts to sound like Julie Andrews in “My Fair Lady” while avoiding the coffee table and most of the breakable items (sorry, mom). In high school she found an outlet for her energies in various choral and theatrical opportunities. She received her BA degree in English/History from the University of North Texas and proceeded to hone a natural sense of the absurd by pursuing a career in Human Resources. In addition to singing with Noted Vocals, Nelda performs occasionally with the Trammell Group and, more regularly, with the choir of the First United Methodist Church, Denton TX. She enjoys the domestic arts and can bake a pound cake, plant a geranium, or craft a costume with enthusiasm. She is encouraged by the loving support of her husband John and that of their two finest productions together, sons John William and George.
