Christie A. Wood is a stained glass artist by day, and vocalist/flutist/saxophonist by night. She completed her degree in music education from the University of North Texas in 1978 and has performed professionally ever since; playing flute and piccolo with the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Pro Musica chamber ensemble, bari saxophone with Foo McBubba (First United Methodist Church of Denton’s big band), and singing with The Texas Voices, the Dallas Symphony Chorus, the Helios Ensemble, and Voces Novae et Antique. She enjoys arranging music for Noted Vocals; blending styles from her background in jazz singing, classical performance, and composition. She currently lives and performs with her cellist husband in Denton, TX.
